The Centre for Extractives and Development (CEDA), with the support of the WAGES project, led a multi-stakeholder process, through bilateral meetings as well as a Technical Working Group (TWG), to identify issues and develop a roadmap for regulations of the MDF ACT (ACT 912). The process included multiple sessions and it brought together, stakeholders from Government, civil society, and mining communities. The Minister Lands and Natural Resources, Honorable John Peter Amewu kick-started the process through a meeting with CEDA and WUSC. The TWG was led by Mr. Benjamin Aryee, Technical Advisor to the Minister, and it looked at areas of the MDF, such as administration, management and financial provisions. The report includes discussions, issues identified for consideration and recommendations for future amendments to Act 912.
