Mr. Kingsford M. Yawson, of Kings Fashion in Wassa Atobiase, Ghana, is proof that one doesn’t have to start out as an expert in order to run a successful business; with open-mindedness and dedication, there is room for growth and success. After attending a WAGES training on entrepreneurship, not only was he able to save his business from collapse by adopting better business practices that subsequently led to improvement and growth of his business, but he also took initiative and learned to sew women’s clothing, hired female apprentices who look up to him for guidance and became a champion for women’s participation in community meetings.
