"Tings A Gro" is a 15-minute weekly farm radio programme produced by PROPEL in Jamaica. The main objective of the show is to support the production of high value crops by promoting agricultural best practices, market opportunities, linkages to market actors and farming innovations.

The 15 minute programs are divided into three segments:

  • 1 Money Dirt: a true-to-life Jamaican farmer drama;
  • 2 Ask the Expert: where local experts/practitioners provide advice and answer farmer questions; and
  • 3 Tings a Gwaan: where we highlight innovative projects/activities across the island.

Since its first airing in May 2017, the show has attracted farmers to attend workshops and demonstration plots across the island.  Using the most recent available figures from the national media survey, indicates that the following numbers of persons are directly exposed to the programme during each radio broadcast:
