Azhar Abd Monem grew up in Irbid, a sprawling city in Northern Jordan. In Irbid, it is very difficult for women and female youth to secure decent employment and economic opportunities. Fortunately for Azhar, she had decided to enroll in a Medical Office Assistant (MOA) program, offered at the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) center in Irbid. Not only did she learn important interpersonal and technical skills, but the position also linked her to her current job.
